Game of Thrones Book Tag

Game of Thrones is back for its seventh season, and I’ve been noticing a lot of Game of Thrones book tags making their rounds on WordPress and Youtube. So I decided to do one! I found this tag on Biblionyan’s blog, which I’ll link here.

House Stark: Winter is Coming – Name your most anticipated book release for 2017.

I used Tower of Dawn to answer this question during my last book tag, so I’ll use my other most anticipated release for this one: Wonder Woman Warbringer. What could be better than a Wonder Woman story written by one of my favorite authors?

House Targaryen: Fire and Blood – Name a book you felt completely slayed in terms of character, plot, pacing, etc.

I don’t know how many times I can repeat this before people start yawning at me, but this duology is honestly perfect in every way imaginable.

House Baratheon: Ours is the Fury – Name a book that ended with a cliffhanger ending that genuinely pissed you off.

I don’t think I’ve ever been genuinely angered by a cliffhanger ending, but Robert Liparulo’s Watcher In The Woods ended on a totally unsatisfying note. It didn’t feel like a complete story, just a transition from the first book to the third book (which I have decided not to read).

House Martell: Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken – Name a book or series that has been on your TBR since the dawn of time.

On top of hearing nothing but great things about House Of Leaves, I’ve been promising my best friend I’d read this one since high school. I’m banking on picking it up this fall.

House Bolton: Our Blades are Sharp – Name the most graphic or disturbing book you’ve ever read.

I honestly don’t read many graphic books (I guess you could say I’m in serious need of horror recommendations), but I recall A Little Life being pretty explicit in addressing sexual violence.

House Tyrell: Growing Strong – Name a book or book series that gets better and better with every re-read.

This goes entirely without saying, but Harry Potter is my go-to series when it comes to re-reads.
